Indefinite Dharna for a Definite Purpose.

Here is a man who is very simple and straight forward. He likes to fight against injustice and insist upon truth. He is stationed at Azad Maidan with his wife and he knows there are enough problems for people that go unnoticed and accommodating to the problem and finding a way out is the only way that Indians of independent India have witnessed at large.But he knows that fighting back is the only solution and unless and until the initiative is not taken nothing will happen. He has fought against such social bugs in the past and has garnered success too. The last one being the Licensing Scam for Private Vehicles in public Transportation. (well I am not much aware of this details). Coming back to the point..........

He saw a huge group of harassed husbands and family members on Men’s Day - 19th November 2009 gathering at Azad Maidan to voice their protest against misuse of prowife laws like 498a, alimony, divorce and dv laws etc, I spoke with him that day too but I was too busy with the media. Meanwhile, he heard various cases and remembered a friend of his. He felt that his friend was not alone and this problem is much more prevalent than what he presumed and deeply penetrated in the society like cancer. He pledged to go in for a Non Stop Dharna against Legal Terrorism.

He is simply dressed with a beard and thin built, but his thoughts are very clear and his demands are solution oriented. His Name is Ravindra L Gangurde, a man in his apparently approaching 50’s has announced to be on a NON STOP DHARNA against Legal Terrorism at Azad Maidan, Mumbai, Since 22nd Feb 2010. In mutual support – Mashaal (Mothers And Sisters of Husband Against Abuse of Law), IFF and PIF joined for a day to his Dharna on Womens Day - 8th of March 2010 to remind the status of the forgotten women that is Mothers and Sisters. His group which is known as Shri Sharavanbal and Shri Laxman Bhikaji Gangurde Seva Kendra is in sync with the Mumbai Local Chapters of Save Indian Family Movement i e IFF PIF and MASHAAL.

“Don’t worry, I am convinced about the misuse and As long as the Government is pretending sleep on this topic I won’t relax and continue my Dharna" assures Gangurde. He also agrees that law needs to be there, but the process of arresting masses of family without reality check and also no penalty for misuse is the sole reason for the misuse of the tool. And this needs to be debugged asap as there is no reason that should stop the plugging of loopholes. As now the correct data and modus operandi is also exposed, he adds.

"We will get success!" is what he keeps on reassuring me everytime and hopefully I am dead sure that soon he will one day tell me “SEE it happened! I told you so! Didn't I?”.
